Polls show that Obama and McCain election will be close for at least a while. Obama leads by a small amount and state by state the election would come down to a few states. When people focus on the election and November draws near one may take clear lead. But at this time people are tired of the Hillary vs. Obama primary and swing voters won’t likely decide now who they are for. Also with summer, people will focus on other things so the election will likely be a stalemate till October.

Hillary Clinton said she will suspend her campaign but does that mean she is out no matter what? Will she leave the door open for a switch at the convention if people sour on Obama? The door open only a bit makes it difficult for Obama to unify the Dems party behind him.

Hillary won nothing much more than a symbolic victory in Puerto Rico. While she won by a large percent the turn out was small. Hillary won by over 100,000 votes but had hoped to win by hundreds of thousands. The Puerto Rico voters probably had better things to do than to vote for a lost cause. Hillary was virtually out for over a month or over two months. Obama is now only 50 delegates away from the nomination while Hillary would need almost four times that, about 200 delegates. Its over, it was over. The fat lady has sung as the saying goes. The only thing Hillary accomplished by not dropping out weeks ago was to make Obama look like a weak candidate by beating him in a number of the last primaries and that helps McCain.
